In this seminar, we'll study the power that allows you to avoid the influence of the Big Society and draw a line of internal life from primary desires all the way to goal-setting.
"The Power of Intention" Seminar
The Power of Intention is a person's ability to carry their primary organic impulse through every stage of awareness, turning it into a concrete goal and bringing it to life without distortion. Intention is desire made tangible—but not just any desire. It's one that's passed the test of alignment with deep values and hasn't been hijacked by external influences.
Most people can't tell the four fundamental internal events apart: primary impulse, desire, intention, and goal. This happens because of a lack of internal and external culture, illiteracy in matters of self-understanding, and the habit of gluing together things that by nature should be separate. An uneducated person mashes them into one lump, losing the possibility of conscious control over their own processes. A cultured and educated person, on the other hand, knows how to distinguish, separate, and understand exactly how their internal mechanisms work.
Culture is the art of distinguishing nuances. First and foremost—nuances within yourself. The finer your ability to distinguish, the higher your level of internal culture.
How Does Intention Form?
It all starts with primary organic wants coming from the very depths of the subconscious. These aren't "base"—quite the opposite. These are high-order principles: goodness, justice, beauty, truth. Contrary to popular belief, Maslow's hierarchy of needs is inverted—it's not just a diagram explaining human needs, but a model where the highest values stand at the foundation. That's exactly why a person can ignore hunger or physical discomfort for the sake of an idea, but cannot ignore the need to search for meaning. However, as this impulse moves through the levels of consciousness, it gets distorted, transforming into superficial desires that don't reflect its true nature.
Having overcome the censorship of the subconscious, this impulse emerges at the level of conscious desire. Desire is literally hunger to gain experience. But desire isn't intention yet. It's important not to confuse desire with its social interpretation: it must pass through awareness and analysis. Once we've become aware of a desire, we need to look at options for its realization and choose one. This moment is the point where intention forms.
But for intention to become power, it must fit into the bigger picture of life by answering the main question: "What do I truly want, in the biggest sense?" Here begins the art of goal-setting: intention becomes a goal when it's aligned across all levels of the personality.
Society actively intrudes on this process, preventing a person from distinguishing the stages of forming their intention.
This happens through:
Desires Don't Need to Be Fulfilled—They Need to Be Followed
Buddhist philosophy treats desires as the cause of suffering. But the issue isn't desires themselves—it's that people handle them incorrectly. The reaction to desire is the key moment: if it gets directed the wrong way, it becomes an instrument of destruction.
Intention is precisely the ability to direct desire in the right direction, clearing it of external influences. Fulfilling desires directly is a dangerous path. They might not even be ours. But if we understand the primary idea that gave birth to the desire and build intention on that foundation, then it works for us, not against us.
Intention often gets confused with willpower. Will is when we do something through strain. Intention is when we move naturally.
A person acting within their intention doesn't waste extra energy. On the contrary, they fill up, because they're following an organic process. Tension only arises when movement goes against a person's nature.
What Prevents Us from Following Our Intention?
The main problem is the breaking of the natural path of intention formation. The primary impulse gets distorted at the desire stage: society or internal traumas replace it with false guidelines. A person mistakes someone else's directives for their own, losing connection with deep aspirations. Even if intention forms, it often doesn't transition into a goal because it doesn't fit into the life context or turns out to be misaligned with true needs. As a result, the person experiences a sense of lost direction, anxiety, a constant feeling of "something's wrong," and fixation on false meanings that bring no satisfaction.
The Power of Intention is the ability to carry an impulse to its result, bypassing distortions. And if you learn this, you've learned almost everything in this life—99% of it. The rest you'll learn in other classes at the School.
In This Seminar, We Will:
If you don't know this—you don't know anything. Come—I'll teach you.
1. Live communication on Zoom
Participants in the online stream on Zoom can ask the lecturer questions directly and communicate with each other in the chat. Each class lasts 3 hours.
2. Via video recordings, without online attendance
Four days after the online broadcast, all participants receive a video recording of the class. Video recordings of any class are available in your personal account.
In this seminar, we'll study the power that allows you to avoid the influence of the Big Society and draw a line of internal life from primary desires all the way to goal-setting.
